Last year (ed. note = 1985), when Wil Argudin started the Ospringe Pathfinders she organized a Progressive Dinner. Each girl's family were responsible for a part of the meal, so everyone got to know each other very well!
The dinner also had to be ALL GREEN! One girl made appetizers - celery sticks stuffed with green cream chees; another made a delicious pasta dish using green (spinach) fettucini noodles.
Here is a recipe you will enjoy
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add milk and mix well.
Sift flour with baking powder; add to the mixture, with 1 egg at a time.
Add the almond extract and food colouring last.
Put into 2 - 28 x 12 inch pans and back at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
Green Cake is a Danish specialty, and loved by all who try it. Eva and her daughter Annette say that they hope you enjoy making this cake as much as they enjoy eating it!
