Think about being a LEADER!

Members of Girl Guides of Canada learn about the world we live in, its people and its environment.  Girls in all levels of Guiding help other people every day, and develop a sense of well-being.  They take pride in their accomplishments, and learn useful skills from starting a campfire to running a meeting.

We aim to help girls and young women become responsible citizens, able to give leadership and service to the community, whether local, national or global.

We work with girls in Sparks (5 & 6 year olds), Brownies (7-9), Guides (9-12),  Pathfinders (12-14) or Senior Branches (15 to 18).

We create games to teach how to use a compass.  We invent crafts to re-use things that would have been thrown out.  We drive, and hug, and glue, and we read and study and sweat just to keep up with these smart, hardworking and involved girls.

We do it to be with our daughters, or to make friends, or to learn new skills, or to get out of the house, or to go camping — we are leaders for many different reasons.

And we do it all as VOLUNTEERS.

Every year, WE NEED NEW LEADERS as others move on, whether to other levels in Guiding or to other challenges. You don't have to know anything about Guiding at all!  We provide:

  • training in everything from first aid, songs and campfires, to crafts and leadership

  • monthly meetings with other leaders to share ideas, problems, opportunities and good news

  • possible subsidies for uniforms, training and/or fees

  • the fun and challenge of mentoring tomorrow's women

  • membership in the largest female organization in the world

  • the warmth, friendship and support of wonderful women!
