Pitching the tent:
1. Lay out tarp. Stake it out with tent pegs
2. Unfold tent and lay out on top of the tarp. 3. Carefully push tent poles through the opening and feed to the other side.
One person should stand on each end. The poles cross diagonally.
4. Using the top pole, put one end in the tent corner flap outside hole.
One person holds the top pole up while the other person puts the pole into the correct hole.
Repeat this process for the other pole. The tent is now standing.
5. Once the tent is up, tie or fasten the poles to the tent at the top and attach the clips to the poles.
6. Throw the fly over the tent and clip the fly to the tent bottom.
Some dome tents have a short pole that attaches to the fly over the front door of the tent.
If no other pole is required, peg out the fly guide lines all the way around.
Striking the tent:
1. Repeat the above process in reverse. 2. Make sure that the pegs are placed in a single spot as they are removed.
The same thing goes for the poles.
3. Place the poles and pegs into their respective bags.
4. Carefully fold the tent and use your body to squeeze out the
extra air.
5. The bag lady holds the tent bag while the other person gently puts the tent into the bag.
6. Poles for the district’s dome tents are kept in a small box.
Tent pegs go into a small bag and then are placed into the tent bag.
Tarps for the dome tents are placed in the box on top of the poles.
