In October I prepared an ocean theme to tie in with the Year
of the Ocean syllabus. I included a "message in a
bottle" to each guide. After trying unsuccessfully to find
appropriate sized bottles, I finally came up with the idea of
using small flavor essence bottles. These were very cheap (only
50 to 70 c each, in the baking ingredients section at the
supermarket). I emptied the contents, and replaced the labels
with small disk-labels, marked, "Message in a bottle for
(name)" These were a hit with the girls and were inexpensive
to post.
