If you're suggesting hot water
bottles - I've had a few girls use them as you've described -
make sure the lid is on tight and that there is no way it can
come out. Or put it into a waterproof covering to ensure that it
won't leak. We've also had them put them in their bags while they
are having campfire and then when they get into bed they take
them out - their bed is warm and there is no worry of them
leaking in the middle of the night or getting cold, making the
girl cold.
Bring extra blankets and an
extra sleeping bag if possible for emergencies. Leg warmers are
also good - i have large ones that my aunt made me eons ago (they
look sort of like they should belong to Pippi Longsocking) - they
work great - almost like having wool pants on. We also recommend
that their pj's be tracksuits.
