Juggling!!!!!
I've lived for eight months on and off with two guys who juggle for a
living and I can't say good enough things about it. I know that first
off people think that they're always too uncoordinated to learn, but
anyone can in just a little while. There's an education prof at my
school who swears by it, and has started juggling programs in schools
all through S. Alberta. It is so great for hand-eye co-ordination, and
is a really neat skill to have. There are great books on the subject in
any library which will show the basic figure-eight pattern, and it only
takes a few minutes to get the hang of it with float-y scarves or
plastic grocery bags. I taught it at camp this summer to kids 8-15, and
almost every child got at least an exchange (where all the balls switch
hands left-right) and some were even passing and doing simple tricks.
It's a skill you can always build on, and still not many people can do
it.
I'll send simple instructions to anyone who's interested too...
Great theme BTW!!!
