I was interested in coming up with some kind of a closing for our Pathfinder (12-15 yr olds) meetings. The girls are sick of singing taps and other usual closings. We tried to come up with some creative ideas, but were not too successful. Does anyone have any ideas about what kind of a closing they might enjoy?
And Tiger's reply:
A quiet ending the girls enjoyed in the past was to float a couple of candles in a pan of water, turn out the lights, and each girl can take turns each week to bring in a reflective verse, poem, interesting thought, etc. Perhaps the Guiders should go first to set the stage.
It can be quite beautiful, insightful, rewarding and a little different. Calming too.
Hope this helps.
