- singing Christmas carols at a local seniors' home (this made quite an
impression on the girls, as several of the residents joined in with us on
Silent Night - in German, with tears running down their face!!)
- tree-planting adjacent to a local creek (contact your city Parks
department, or Conservation Authority for those in Ontario)
- purchasing a kilometer of migratory bird flyway from the World Wildlife
Fund - we combined this with the Endangered Species badge, and it's been a
hit!
- helping out at the local food bank - we not only helped sort food, but
handed out donation bags at a local supermarket. This is one the girls
absolutely LOVE to do, especially the food-sorting part!
