Hemp Necklaces and Bracelets

A very popular item that is easily crafted by girls this age are the natural hemp necklaces/bracelets using knots (what we used to call macramé, but the craft books on these necklaces rarely call it that--does that date me? ). There are several craft books and beads are usually used, but if you did macramé, you can probably make up your own designs using square and spiral (granny) knots. Teens make these by the dozens for themselves and gifts and I've seen many boys wearing (and even making) them.
