Pierced Paper Projects

Materials:

• white stationery
• plain white paper
• tea towel
• tracing paper and pencil
• long sharp needle
• corks

Directions:

1. Draw a simple design on plain white paper (snowflake, stars, scallops etc). Trace onto tracing paper. Tape tracing paper to stationery (bought or homemade)
2. Fold towel and place under paper.
3. Dab glue onto eye end of needle and insert about 1/2 inch into one end of cork. Use it to poke tiny holes in the paper through the tracing paper about 1/8 inch apart.

Canadian Living magazine shows bookmarks, place cards/gift tags, stationery and scallop-edged shelf paper. You can cut the edge of the paper to match the scallop or point designs..... mix and match scallops with hearts positioned along the scallops... etc.
