Leader Mentor Program

The Leader Mentor Program is a process through which an experienced leader helps a new leader through her first year. The mentor answers questions about troop activities, how to get parent support, registration paperwork, and council activities-basically everything a leader needs to know! The program will consist of the mentor calling the new leader once a month throughout the year to answer questions, and chat about Girl Scouting. And, during the first two months when the new leader is forming her troop, the mentor can help the new leader plan the activities for the first few meetings.

Mentor contract: I promise to call my new leader once a month during the school year to help her establish a quality troop program. I realize that time is valuable and know that the minutes minutes I spend on the phone will help her make a stronger troop.

New leader contract: I realize that time is valuable and agree to ask questions efficiently.
