Anzac Biscuits

These are popular biscuits in Australia. They are so named because soldiers in the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) during World War I loved to eat them. They are similar to crunchy oatmeal cookies.

(Makes approx. 30 biscuits.)

Soften butter slightly, then cream together with maple syrup.  Add remaining ingredients.  Roll into small balls, place well apart on greased baking trays. Bake in a 350 degree oven for approximately 15 minutes.  Cool on tray before removing.
