When our troop 'did' Australia, we made a map. Actually a high
school teacher friend had been there and brought back a place mat
with the map on it, so I
had a copy made from it. The girls made some posters with
information on different animals, and things of interest in
Australia. Several people from the WAGGGS-L e-mail list sent me
used stamps. One sent a pamphlet on their uniforms. We
participated in the postcard exchange
and got some postcards from Australia as well. My parents had
been so I borrowed a few knickknack items they brought back as
souvenirs -- boomerang, kangaroo statue, etc. We also used the
song Waltzing Matilda.
