Tag the Bear - a Game from Denmark

Number of players:
10 or more

Equipment needed:
A stool
A piece of rope about 60 cm long, knotted at either end

The players form a circle around the stool. Two players are inside the circle. The 'bear' sits on the stool, the other player is the 'keeper'. These two hold either end of the rope. The players in the circle try to tag the bear by touching it without being tagged in turn by the keeper.

If a player is tagged, she takes the bear's place, the bear becomes the keeper, and the keeper joins the circle. At no time may the bear or the keeper let go of the rope.
