Fabric Stamping Swap Idea for India
When we did India, I found out that they did a lot of fabric stamping
to put designs on fabric for clothes. So we stamped small squares of fabric
for our swaps. I bonded two layers of fabric together to give it more body
and so it wouldn't fray, but you could just use a sturdy fabric and cut
the squares with pinking shears. I also had the advantage that someone
lent us wooden stamps from India to do it. However as I remember they were
animals (a bird and an elephant) and geometric designs so that shouldn't
be hard to deal with.
