Fresh Salsa (Salsa Fresca)


Cut 2 large tomatoes in half and squeeze out the seeds. Chop the tomatoes finely and place them in a small bowl. Stir in 1/4 cup (50 ml) chopped cilantro leaves and 1 crushed garlic clove.

If you like your salsa picante (hot), add a finely chopped jalapeño. WARNING: Chili peppers can burn your skin, so be sure that an adult removes the seeds and veins, and cuts the jalapeño.
