Dear All,

Just a quick update on our space weekend , for which you all kindly sent ideas.

We had a really busy weekend. the weather was beautiful all the time, after I had told the parents to pack wellis because the long-term forecast was poor!

We went horse riding, visited Drusillas Zoo, (animals in enclosures, not cages), visited Pevensy castle on the way there, and Seven sisters on the way back.

The girls tried some of the crafts, and learnt the spaceman song. (Amid gales of laughter at the sight of me standing on one leg!)

We also did a village quiz, and quite a lot of walking, including visiting Lullington church, which is the smallest church in England.

Thankfully, this time , we survived without injuries or illnesses, although the bus did break down on the way home. The RAC repaired it.

We also went swimming in Eastbourne. This was the first time we had gone so far from home, and so we had more emphasis than usual on exploring, and the countryside.

We still have some of the ideas in reserve for another occasion. Thank you all once again.

Carol
